The confirmed launch list is PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
Rockstar Games’ official GTA VI page names two platform families: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It gives the same release date for both, November 19, 2026.
That list is the reliable baseline. A retailer placeholder, an analyst prediction or the release pattern of an older Rockstar game does not add another platform to the announcement.
PS5 is confirmed and PS4 is ruled out
The official PlayStation page lists GTA VI as a PS5 game and says it will not be available for PS4. There is currently no official basis for expecting a cross-generation PS4 release.
The page also marks the game “PS5 Pro Enhanced”. That confirms PS5 Pro support, but it does not publish resolution, frame-rate or graphics-mode targets. Claims about 30 or 60 fps are not confirmed by this label.
The Game details section on Xbox.com lists Xbox Series X|S and November 19, 2026. “Series X|S” covers both Series X and Series S.
A lower, generic-looking purchase module on the same page also displays Xbox One and Windows 10/11. That block conflicts with the page title, metadata and formal Game details section, all of which specify Series X|S. We do not treat the inconsistent storefront module as a new platform announcement.
Rockstar has not announced the PC version
PC is absent from Rockstar’s current platform list. There is no official PC release date, store version or minimum and recommended specification.
This does not prove that a PC edition will never exist. It means there is no evidence-based date or parts list today. Tables presented as “expected GTA 6 requirements” are estimates, not Rockstar specifications.
What should you do now?
If you already own a PS5 or Xbox Series console, the platform question is settled. Wait for official performance information before choosing between console models on the basis of resolution or frame rate.
If you intend to play on PC, wait for a separate Rockstar announcement. Do not buy a CPU, graphics card or complete system for unannounced requirements.
Decision: PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are the confirmed choices today. Do not order PC hardware, a PS4 or an Xbox One for GTA 6 on the strength of speculation.
