The short answer
Rockstar has named three kinds of GTA 6 music so far. Each of the two main trailers credits one licensed song. A 34-track album of new music arrives on November 19, the same day as the game. And there is one sentence about radio: Rockstar promises more details on "the dynamic score, the next evolution of in-game radio, and more", without naming a single station. Everything below comes from Rockstar's own pages and its official YouTube channel, checked on September 21, 2026.
The songs in the two trailers
Rockstar credits each trailer's song in the description of the video on its official YouTube channel.

Both credits sit in the description box, so you can check them yourself under the video. Trailer 2's description adds that it "was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes."
One thing the credits do not tell you: whether either song plays inside the game. A licence for a trailer is not an in-game tracklist, and Rockstar has not said that "Love Is A Long Road" or "Hot Together" will be on a GTA 6 radio station. Treat both as trailer music until Rockstar says otherwise.
The Extended Look has no song credit
The 27-minute Extended Look premiered on Netflix on August 27, 2026 and went up on YouTube the same evening. Its YouTube description is two sentences about the footage and the November 19 date. Unlike the two trailers, it credits no music, and Rockstar has not published a list of what plays in it. Song lists for the Extended Look that circulate online are fan identifications, not Rockstar's. What the video does show is covered in our Extended Look breakdown.
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album
On September 17, 2026, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which it calls "the upcoming official soundtrack album". Here is what the announcement and the album page on rockstargames.com confirm:
- Label: made in partnership with Atlantic Records.
- Size: 34 original tracks.
- Date: November 19, alongside the game.
- Formats: pre-save on "all major music streaming services", plus vinyl and CD.
Six singles were released on announcement day:
- Yung Lean – "That's It" (feat. Future & Metro Boomin)
- Travis Scott – "RHYNO" (prod. by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo)
- CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy – "Sexy Magic"
- Morgan Wallen – "Last Thing You Need"
- Rauw Alejandro – "Macacoa 2000"
- Keith Richards – "Bright Lights, Big City"
The other 28 tracks are not named yet.
Rockstar lists three physical versions sold only on the official album store: a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter-edition vinyl and a CD jewel case. It also lists store-exclusive vinyl colorways with their own artwork at Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and independent record shops. Prices vary by region, so check the store for your own country before assuming a figure you saw elsewhere.
What the album does not tell you
"Original tracks" means music made for this release. It does not settle how the album relates to what you hear while playing. Rockstar's text says the tracks "capture the electric energy" of Vice City and Leonida. It does not say they play on in-game radio, in missions or in the score. That link is likely to be spelled out when Rockstar publishes its music details, but today it is not confirmed.
Neither trailer song is among the six singles. Both are existing recordings that Rockstar credits to Universal and Sony, so they would not fit the description "original tracks" either. The remaining 28 titles will settle it.
Radio stations: what is confirmed
One sentence closes the album announcement: "Stay tuned for more details about the music of Grand Theft Auto VI, including the dynamic score, the next evolution of in-game radio, and more."
That sentence confirms two things. GTA 6 will have in-game radio in some form, and it will have a dynamic score. Rockstar has not published anything beyond that. These are all unconfirmed as of September 21, 2026:
- station names, genres or the number of stations;
- DJs or hosts;
- any in-game tracklist, including whether the trailer songs or album singles are on it;
- how the "next evolution" of radio differs from earlier games;
- whether you will be able to play your own music.
If a page names GTA 6 radio stations today, ask where the list comes from. If it is not a Rockstar page or a Rockstar video, it is a claim from somewhere else. Our official vs. rumor ledger tracks how those claims stand.
Where to check next
Rockstar says more music details are coming, and they will most likely appear on the Rockstar Newswire and the album page first.
